Piano Concerto No.1

Written originally by Keith Emerson for Piano and Orchestra, this piece has now been adapted for indoor percussion ensemble. This is perfect as a closing movement to a show and contains exciting parts for both Battery and Front Ensemble.

Astraeus

Written for the Cab Calloway School of the Arts Indoor Percussion Ensemble, this piece portrays th birth, life, and death of a star. Each movement takes the listener on a journey through space as the Super Nova approaches.

Tool

This piece, comprised of 5 different songs by the popular metal band Tool, is a more difficult high school level indoor percussion piece. It contains many odd time signatures as well as poly rhythms throughout all of the movements. Tool’s drummer, Danny Carey is regarded as one of today’s top rock drummers, so naturally, the battery is featured throughout the whole piece, mimicking the drumset.
